WINDSURFER HAS DEPARTURE BAY ALL TO HIMSELFSaturday afternoon winds may have kept some away from the beach at Departure Bay, but they were just what this windsurfer ordered!
Under beautiful sunny skies with the aid of a good wind, this surfer crossed Departure Bay many times during our visit.
This particular picture shows the surfer in the mouth of Departure Bay between Jesse and Newcastle Island.
The ferry in the distance is on the Duke Point to Tsawwassen run. If you are heading back today on the ferry, you might want to check ferry traffic here.
