TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 15 CM OF SNOW EXPECTED OVER METRO VANCOUVER..FRASER VALLEY AND PORTIONS OF VANCOUVER ISLAND TODAY. THIS IS A WARNING THAT SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING IN THESE REGIONS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS.

A DEVELOPING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO TRACK SOUTHWARDS ALONG VANCOUVER ISLAND TODAY BRINGING SNOW TO MUCH OF THE SOUTH COAST. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 CM ARE FORECAST TODAY FOR METRO VANCOUVER..FRASER VALLEY..GREATER VICTORIA..EAST VANCOUVER ISLAND AND THE GULF ISLANDS BEFORE TAPERING TO FLURRIES TONIGHT. AN ADDITIONAL 5 CM IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT. LESSER AMOUNTS OF NEAR 5 CM ARE FORECAST OVER VANCOUVER ISLAND TODAY. WIND CHILL VALUES BELOW MINUS 20 HAVE DEVELOPED THIS MORNING OVER THE NORTH AND CENTRAL COAST AND WILL FORM DURING THE DAY OVER FRASER VALLEY..WHISTLER..HOWE SOUND AND THE SUNSHINE COAST AS COLD ARCTIC AIR OVER THE INTERIOR RUSHES INTO THE COASTAL VALLEYS AND INLETS.
