Nanaimo Deer Cull Alternatives Sought

Public Meeting May 31 - 7:00 pm
Kin Hut Departure Bay Beach

A public forum will be held next Monday to discuss non-lethal ways of approaching the issue of Nanaimo's urban deer.

Most would agree the deer are not safe where they are now and as many as 30 deer a month are being hit by cars, usually in North Nanaimo.

Things to consider would be relocating the deer, sterilizing males etc. Your opinions are sought. Views expressed will be forwarded to Nanaimo City Council.

Comment: It is noted that earlier this year it was reported that many deer die as a result of eating the overly rich food some kind hearted people feed them. Those deer being hit by cars ..... how much ICBC paid for, damage does that cause?
