Stabbing Assailant Released

Promises To Appear

There is usually more to a story than what appears in the press, but this one makes you wonder. Last Saturday just before 1:00 am a man from Alberta was standing outside the Wheatsheal Hotel in Cedar.

He was approached by a man who stabbed him in the thigh, an injury requiring numerous stitches at NRGH.

A 35 year old Cedar man turned himself into police on Monday afternoon after consulting with a lawyer and was released on a promise to appear in Nanaimo provincial court on Sept. 16.
