HAS LEADERCAST BECOME LEADERGATE???

BIZARRE CITY RESPONSE RAISES MORE SUSPICIONS

Lots of public interest for the in-camera meeting on August 11
Public doesn't trust city's own investigation
Council 'forced' to discuss Leadercast motion in public
Councillor Bestwick tries to find out what happened to HIS Notice of Motion

CITY STAFF INVESTIGATE THEMSELVES??

In what should have been an exercise to let the public know exactly what happened at city hall before the infamous Aug. 5 motion which cancelled Leadercast; the city has simply brought even greater suspicion to their door.

A one hour public debate/discussion about this whole affair does nothing to increase confidence in the legitimacy of this procedure which has the distinct aroma of 'cover-up' all over it.

Listen to the city solicitor explaining why the city was justified in dealing with this simple 'notice of motion' in such a bizzarre manner. I wonder what noted Parliamentarian, and city advisor Eli Mina would have to say about this whole process.

Click on the image to listen to the audio-only recording of the one hour in public meeting. If the explanations for discussing YOUR business in-secret don't get you riled up, you should check your pulse. What it ultimately boils down to, is that there is nothing city staff and council can not hide from public scrutiny if they so wish.

This is the kind of democracy we get, when we leave it up to politicians and bureaucrats to decide what we can and can't hear.

THE $64,000 QUESTION .................. ' WHAT DOES CITY HALL NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW?'

  1. Do the majority of council, mayor included, really like wearing this STINK!

    DROP, COVER, HUNKER!

If they did not make the laws - common-sense would say this is ILLEGAL!
