Lifelong Nanaimo resident, professional artist and illustrator Dale Schulz 'sees' much of Nanaimo many of us simply walk by without giving a second thought.
Through the eyes of an artist the everyday can become almost magical and with a few simple photos of his daily walks, Dale captures and shares some of that magic on his Facebook page.
The following is the most recent example of what Dale sees when he walks about our lovely seaside community many of us just take for granted.

Dale's Post - July 6/16
Indy and I had a very short walk today. He just wasn't in the mood to go far and we turned around and headed home after reaching University Village Centre (Harewood Mall).
I took a collection of photos of Mt. Benson under a cloud. The first one (and it's Black and White variation) was taken from Park Avenue and Honey Drive; the second - with the netting and post was taken in the lane that runs between Hamilton and Stirling Avenues, as was the photo of the mountain above a backyard fence. The last was taken at Stirling Avenue and Dundas Street.
And last - a photo of one of my favourite telephone poles - one on the corner of 5th Street and Bruce Avenue - because a year ago I started a 5 or 6 week stint of shooting mainly telephone and power poles.
