$1 million wasted. What about the lost time and misdirected focus that could have been used productively? 2018 can't come soon enough!
does this trigger a non confidence vote on the council itself? i sure hope so... what bs that this was fostered on us...
Don't give them ideas.. they might think that if they spend another $3 or 4 million they may get it down to 49% say no..
We indeed need some time and money spent on the stretch of Island hwy from Brechin road turning right onto the hwy going straight through to Country Club Mall. All the visitors coming off the ferry see the weeds in the spring and summer 4 to 5 feet tall. Sure the trailway is great but it would be a great project to add greenery/palm trees etc to make that stretch more inviting.
As much as this council needs to go, people need to stop saying "They should spend that money on this instead.". There is no money, that's why it's a loan.
We need the 7 responsible for this waste of time and money to resign. Nanaimo all know who is responsible for this fiasco and they should all be spending this day writing apologies and letters of resignation.
I agree! They need to resign. They have wasted enough of our hard earned money already without giving it a second thought! They only cater to what they personally want! Not what the citizens of Nanaimo want! Resign!
Agreed! They should be apologizing for wasting our tax dollars and our time on this nonsense!
Agree! Seems if they aren't arguing, yelling at each other, or suing each other they are wasting time on grandiose schemes and trying to sell them to the public.
the over riding problem is that downtown nanaimo is cursed land, everything that that happens there fails and fails spectacularly, downtown nanaimo seems to only exist to be a playtoy for city workers, and it just keeps getting worse and worse
